The purpose of the BME Panel is to provide effective BME advocacy at the regional level by:

• promoting the views of BME groups about the way policies and programs are delivered
• engaging in and influencing policy development with regional partners
• addressing the issues of potential exlusion of BME voluntary and community groups from partnership working and ultimately the decision making process
• advocating on behalf of BME voluntary and community sector to effetively engage in partnership working and decision making processes
• acting as a think tank and developing the business case for cultural diversity
