The BME Panel helps sub-regional and local BME and non-BME voluntary and community organisations to benefit form the wider infrastructure support at a district, sub-regional and regional level by:

• providing a specialist forum for sharing ideas and driving good practice in the wider voluntary and community sector on BME issues
• working with voluntary and community organisations and specialist partners to develop the ability of BME organisations to deliver on social and economic programs
• acting as a catalyst for change
