Sajda Shah

Sajda has 13 years experience both as a paid worker and as a volunteer in the voluntary and community sector. This has included project management within the local CVS to management experience within the local BME VCS.

She is currently a local authority officer working in partnership with the statutory, community and voluntary sector to create and sustain healthier communities in the locality. Her skills include project management, staff/team development, partnership working and the development and delivery of training packages. In the last four years, she has specialised as a Community Development Trainer and an Adviser on equality and diversity. Currently she is director of a local and a regional voluntary BME organisations.

She is committed and passionate to ensuring the BME communities have a transparent and accountable voice in the region, and strives to ensure that BME communities needs are at the heart of economic regeneration and development.
