Teenagers from Bradford are amongst those that have come together in the Lake District to take part in an innovative research project. The Commission for Racial Equality's pilot Project One explores how youngsters integrate and through a new leadership award will help to create tomorrow's community leaders. More than 70 youngsters aged between 12-16 spent last week in Ambleside in Cumbria, taking part in the project, which is run by Skill Force. Activities were aimed at breaking down the barriers of mistrust, suspicion and stereotyping which occur when people from different backgrounds live by side but do not interact. add new comment | read more | 217 reads
