"Making a Difference - Proposing Options for Effective Black and Minority Ethnic Voluntary The report is the result of an extensive and detailed study by the Social Business Company (SBC), which highlights the process, findings and recommendations for options for effective BME engagement in Yorkshire and the Humber. The Government Office for Yorkshire and the Humber (GOYH) commissioned the study in June 2004, supported by the region's statutory partners: Yorkshire and Humber Assembly and Yorkshire Forward (the Regional Development Agency) and the Yorkshire and Humber Regional Forum for the Voluntary and Community Sector. A project Steering Group, made up of community members and individuals from the regional partners mentioned above oversaw the work. "What's in it for Everybody? - including diverse communities in regeneration" is the report from the conference which aimed to raise awareness of, and help delegates to really understand, the barriers that face the most excluded or disadvantaged people in our region.
