Offender Learning in the Community funding

Submitted by editor on Fri, 04/08/2006 - 10:41am.

The LSC in Yorkshire and The Humber Region has been successful in securing £3.5 million European Social Fund (ESF) Objective 3 money to support offender learning and skills in the community.

The ESF funding will support four projects, enabling offenders in the community to access a wider range of provision, better suited to their specific needs, than is currently available. All projects will deliver activity across the Yorkshire and Humber region (excluding South Yorkshire).

The LSC is keen to work with a diverse range of organisations to provide opportunities to meet regional needs and priorities. It is envisaged that there will be a lead organisation working in partnership with other organisations on a given regional project.
