“People Matter” - a FREE workshop delivered by the Fair Play partnership in Leeds.

“People Matter” is a FREE workshop hosted by Wrigley’s Solicitors and delivered by the Fair Play partnership in Leeds.

This workshop looks at recruiting and retaining employees, acting within the law, and providing good customer service. Aimed at small and medium businesses, this would also be of use for charities and community groups with limited HR experience and resources.

Who is the event for?

VCS organisations with an interest in learning and skills, LSC colleagues, Primary Care Trusts, Jobcentre Plus and all with an interest in the VCS as a provider of learning and skills.

a seminar organised by the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) West Yorkshire, West Yorkshire Police and Calderdale Council.

The seminar is the first in a series of community engagement events to be undertaken with the Muslim and wider community over the coming year which will enable partners to explain their decision making processes and exchange information around issues which we recognise are of concern to people in Calderdale. These include:
• The prosecution of racially and religiously aggravated cases; and
• The prosecution of terrorist cases.

Speakers at the Seminar will include representatives from the Criminal Justice agencies with responsibility for and experience in handling and managing serious crime cases, including: Neil Franklin, Chief Crown Prosecutor for West Yorkshire; Sue Hemming; Head of Counter Terrorism Division, CPS Headquarters; Ebrahim Dockrat; Independent Chair, Hate Crime Scrutiny Panel; and a West Yorkshire Police Representative. Local speakers will include Kersten England, Group Director for Community Services at Calderdale Council and Councillor Mohammed Najib.
