NASACRE (The National Association for the Standing Advisory Councils of Religious Education) are anxious to fill - in the next 3 weeks - vacancies that exist currently for faith representatives on the following SACREs in Yorkshire & Humberside and the North-East. Members wanted for Ethnic Diversity Steering Group

Do you want to make the co-operative movement more vibrant? Are you a member of an ethnic minority and an entrepreneur? Have you got fresh ideas about how the co-operative movement can engage with ethnic minority communities?
Co-operatives UK is looking for up to 6 people to sit on its new ethnic diversity steering group, which will help us to encourage more people from ethnic minority communities to start co-operatives. Children in Need Grants Section Open

The next funding round of Children in Need is now open. It is open to projects delivered by organisations working with disadvantaged children and young people, who must be 18 years and under, living in the UK.Disadvantages experienced by children and young people include:illness, distress, abuse or neglect;any kind of disability;behavioural or psychological difficulties; iving in poverty or situations of deprivation.
The application should focus on the children your project will work with and the differences that your project will make for them. You should clearly be able to demonstrate how your project will change the lives of the children involved for the better.
Closing date: 15 January 2009

The Network is innovative in its approach to inclusive representation and BME strategic engagement. The next stage of development will be both challenging and rewarding, you will champion the BME VCS Sector and demonstrate excellent organisational ability, the ability to support and encourage organisations and communities to work together and to challenge effectively, whilst maintaining good working relationships.

CRC (the Churches Regional Commission for Yorkshire and the Humber) which works in the area of faith, regeneration and regional governance, are seeking an administration and finance officer to ensure the effective running of the CRC office in central Leeds, to manage and maintain financial monitoring and provide efficient administration to the CEO and CRC Board and Commission.

The post is at SCP 22, currently £18,907 p.a. (pay award pending), pro rata for 25 hours a week, £12,775.

Key fund Yorkshire has money available NOW to support the development and growth of social enterprises across the whole of Yorkshire and the Humber. If you are a voluntary and community organisation or an existing social enterprise, we have a flexible grant and loan fund to help you to write your own future:
Up to £10,000 for the early stage development of social enterprises
£10,000 to £30,000 for the on-going development and growth of social enterprises
Up to £100,000 for social enterprises with an established track record

ITV BME Placement Scheme

ITV run a Foundation Placement Scheme, which is a one-year paid placement scheme for those from an Ethnic Minority background. Its aim is to give individuals the opportunity to compete fairly for openings within the media industry.
